This note compares the volume and composition of investment in Spain and the OECD using data for the decade of the eighties. Combining these data with some recent results in the literature on empirical growth, It is argued that the composition of investment in Spain is not as eficient as it could be. In particular, there are some indications of relative under-investment in human and technological capital.
